Game Recap: Canadians vs Chiefs
October 28th 2017, Canadians vs. North East Chiefs
The Greater Vancouver Canadians suffered a loss on Saturday against the North East Chiefs. The final score was 3-2 in a game where the Canadians couldn’t manage to stay out of the box. The loss comes on a night in which the Canadians lead for the majority of the game, including a 2-0 lead at the halfway point.
The goals scored in the game came from Garret Wicks, who has gotten on the board in three of his last four games, as well as Brendon Jorssen. Jesse Makaj was the starting goaltender for the first game of this back-to-back series against the Chiefs. Elliot Marshall is expected to get the start on Sunday. The loss puts an end to the Canadians two game win streak, but will keep them in fourth place among the league standings, behind only the Cariboo Cougars, Valley West Hawks and the Fraser Valley Thunderbirds, who the Canadians defeated twice in a row the weekend prior.
The Canadians will look to even up the two game series at Burnaby Eight Rinks on Sunday morning at 11:30AM.
